Stephanie Hubbard MSW (Master of Social Work)
Ms. Stephanie Hubbard earned her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from King’s University College, and Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Waterloo. Stephanie has also completed various play therapy courses through the Canadian Association for Play Therapy.
Stephanie is passionate about helping children, youth, and families work through their challenges, achieve their goals, and improve their mental health. Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Social Work placement at an accredited mental health facility in London, Ontario. Throughout the year, Stephanie provided individual and family therapy to children who had diagnosed mental health challenges. Within the counselling setting, Stephanie has supported children who had a diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Depression, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Selective Mutism, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD).
Stephanie has also worked with children and families in various settings. She was a Special Needs Inclusion Counselor for five summers at the City of Oshawa. Within the camp setting, Stephanie helped children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Down Syndrome, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). Stephanie has also provided after-school support to children with various learning disabilities and mental health challenges through the Boys and Girls Club and YMCA.
Stephanie enjoys working with children and animals, and she is excited to work at Dr. Angela Fountain and Associates. Within the therapeutic setting, Stephanie enjoys utilizing various techniques from different therapeutic models, such as play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and ecological systems theory.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys camping, swimming, volunteering, and spending time with her family and two rescue dogs (Gazoo and Winston).
