Christal Sotirov M.Psy., Ed.D. (Candidate)
Mrs. Christal Sotirov is a therapist and psychometrician at Dr. Angela Fountain and Associates. She is currently completing her Ed.D. in Counselling and School Psychology at the University of Toronto. Christal completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University and Master of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School.
She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families with an array of mental health challenges. Christal uses a person centred and humanistic approach to help her clients using tools from various modalities including cognitive-behavioural (CBT), emotion-focused (EFT), and dialectical-behaviour (DBT). Christal also has extensive experience conducting psychoeducational and psychodiagnostics assessments with children and adolescents. Currently, she also holds a position with the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
In her spare time, Christal enjoys being outdoors and interacting with animals hence her excitement to be a part of the team!
